The Rokinon 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC Lens gives you approximately a 115° view with dramatic results when used with a full frame digital camera or 35mm film camera. With hybrid aspherical lenses, you will produce sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations. This manual focus 14mm lens focuses as close as 0.9' (28 cm) from the lens, and has a built-in petal-type lens hood. With some cameras, Shutter Lock must be disengaged on the camera's menu.

  • Ultra wide-angle 14mm lens with an approximately 90° angle of view using an APS-C camera, for dramatic effects
  • Lens is constructed with two ED lens elements, one hybrid aspherical lens element and one glass aspherical lens element, for outstanding, sharply defined images
  • Minimal distortion and chromatic aberrations
  • Super multi-layer coating to reduce flares and ghost images
  • Lens has a minimum focusing distance of 0.9' (28 cm) for enhanced close-up shots
  • Also conforms to APS-C (1:1.5x) size digital imaging format
  • Lens includes a built-in petal-type lens hood

Great entry level wide lens for my Canon Rebel T6

I got this on sale for my Canon Rebel T6, and it fit just fine. The lens has a manual focus, but the depth of field is very wide which I love for architectural and landscape shots. Since it is not a Canon or name brand lens, the setting in the camera itself are limited because of this, so make sure you know how to use the lens manually. I think this is a great lens if you're not a profession, but casual photographer.

Chip does not work with Full frame RF

Great starter lens however after I upgraded to the R8 the lens no longer works. I used the cannon EF adapter mount and the shutter gets stuck. The only way I am able to take pictures with this lens is to cover the pins. This means the aperture is stuck in whatever mode I used last on the lens. All my other lens work great with the R8 and EF mount. Just this lens is the problem child.Attached is a photo where you can see the R8 does not even recognize the lens.

Hits way above it's price point.

I bought this lens mostly for landscapes and it hasn't disappointed. The AE chip works flawlessly and color rendition is superb.

Fabulous quality at a great price!

I'm not going to be able to add anything over and above the abundant laudatory comments on line about this lens. My only use of this lens is astrophotography, and the milky way seems to be so much sharper with this than my old rather expensive Canon EF 16-35 mark ii (and the original as well). And it's wider too. Well worth the time, trouble, and money. Just make sure you know exactly where the precise focus is before you go out into the dark and try to get focus at 1am. I found it is at the "elbow" of the L shaped infinity mark, not all the way racked out to infinity. The L shaped mark is actually more of a shape like this: |______Find the best sharpness by taking photos of faraway buildings and documenting each shot as to where the focus is. Shooting the milky way at 2.8 leaves very little margin of focusing error.Best of luck! I have two of these and the best infinity focus is a little different for each.
